Kunjan “KP” Patel is the CEO of Equity Loans LLC. KP is a proven executive with 20 years in the banking and mortgage industry and was an architect of successful strategic planning for a profitable mortgage banking operation. He started his mortgage career as a Loan Officer for NovaStar Home Mortgage in Maryland. KP is a highly successful individual and branch operations producer who has over eleven years working in the mortgage business holding such titles as loan officer, branch manager and executive. KP oversees finance, secondary marketing, and inside sales at Equity Loans.

Eduardo “Eddy” Perez is President of Equity Loans LLC. He has over ten years experience in the mortgage industry as a top producing loan officer, sales/branch manager, and executive. Prior to founding Equity Loans LLC, Eddy operated the top producing affiliate branch for Global Mortgage, Inc. He has personally closed over 2000 loans since entering into the business and holds a B.B.A degree in Finance with a concentration in Mortgage Lending from Georgia State University. Eddy currently oversees operations, branch relations, regulatory affairs, and business development.

David Abrahamson is the VP of Operations for Equity Loans LLC. David graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Risk Management. He started his career in the mortgage industry in 1985 with varying positions from Post Closing, Closing, Loan Processing, Loan Officer and Underwriter. David has been in various management positions since 2001 at primarily top 10 Atlanta mortgage companies such as Sun America Mortgage, Pine State Mortgage, Market Street Mortgage and Colonial Mortgage. David oversees all operations in the Underwriting and Closing departments.

Walt Werchanowskyj is Executive VP of Finance for Equity Loans. Walt brings with him 26 years of experience in the financial services industry, and has held a number of managerial positions including: Strategic Partner with Polaris Capital Advisors, a financial services consulting firm, Chief Executive Officer of mortgage retail companies US Residential Mortgage and Your Equity Source, as well as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning & Development for Fleet Finance, a multi-billion dollar consumer finance subsidiary. Mr Werchanowskyj has an extensive knowledge base and plays an integral role in the continued growth and development of Equity Loans LLC.

William A. “Bill” Zablocki is VP of Secondary Marketing . Over his 40 year mortgage career, he has managed Secondary Marketing divisions of various sized companies. He started in the industry while earning his BS and MBA from the University of Detroit. Prior to joining Equity Loans, he was Vice President of Secondary Marketing at Generation Mortgage, one of the nation’s top Reverse Mortgage companies. He has also worked for James T. Barnes & Co., Advance Mortgage, Lomas & Nettleton, Foster Mortgage, CUNA Mortgage, Republic Bank and Sunshine Mortgage.

Keith Knoll is the Controller for Equity Loans LLC. Prior to his current position, he worked four years at Generation Mortgage Company. He has a degree in Accounting from Hofstra University. Since graduating, Keith has progressed from Staff Accountant to Accounting Manager to Controller. He has worked for various sized organizations, ranging from small companies ($2-10M revenue) to large companies ($500M+ revenue). His background includes a diverse realm of industries including paper manufacturing, musical instrument distribution, banking, legal services, wholesale distribution, and mortgage origination.

Marshall Bonertz is the Director of Branch Relations has been actively working in the Mortgage Lending field for 8 years with several years of partial experience prior to those. He has successfully worked in Secondary Marketing, Underwriting, Closing, Post Closing, Compliance and several other positions. He is currently licensed with the NMLS and have a CHUMS ID with HUD to underwrite FHA loans, and with the USDA to underwrite their products as well. 

Tim Saxon is the Director of Inside Sales for Equity Loans LLC. Tim has a strong business acumen and is a proven leader poised in interactions across all business hierarchies with a 15+ year history of achievement in driving multimillion dollar growth in highly competitive markets while exhibiting award winning leadership skills. He is a strategic methodology advocate, process improvement specialist, and persuasive closer who delivers results. Over his career he has personally closed nearly $1B in business including $150M+ resorts in Europe, private jets, strip malls and even a movie. Tim holds a BS ME from the University of Missouri-Rolla and continues to be a solid contributor to Equity’s success.

Sharon Kessenich is the Director of Compliance with Equity Loans. She comes to us with over twenty-five years experience as a dedicated mortgage professional with diverse sales, operations and management experience. Sharon is an observant facilitator and cooperative leader who seeks ways to increase production for the sales team while integrating manufacturing quality goals on behalf of senior management. With her extensive knowledge and proven ability to ensure compliance, Sharon handles all compliance quality control to insure Equity Loans LLC exceeds state and government compliance requirements.

James Lyons is the Director of Licensing has worked for Equity Loans LLC since November 2009. He has also served as Vice President of Research & Development/Director of Development at T&J Adult Community Services, a developer of low-income housing in Mississippi and Ohio, where he played a key role in the development and construction of 85 single family homes funded with over ten million dollars housing tax credits. His development team was awarded Best Builder/Developer by Mississippi Home Corporation in 2006. In addition to development experience, he worked as a Compliance Officer at Georgia Department of Community Affairs inspecting apartments funded by Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

Rebekah Epting is the Director of Marketing for Equity Loans LLC. Rebekah has a strong background in marketing, advertising and graphic design with over 15 years experience. Originally from Pinehurst, NC, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Campbell University in 2001 and continued her career with such titles as Graphic Designer/Web Developer, Art Director and Marketing Director. Most recently, Rebekah was the Marketing Director for 1st Choice Mortgage located in Columbia, SC. Rebekah will oversee all marketing efforts to establish a cohesive marketing plan and strengthen our company brand within the mortgage industry.

Jessica Barron is Human Resources for Equity Loans LLC. She graduated from The University of Arizona where she studied Business. She began her career as a Coordinator for event management firms in Los Angeles and Atlanta. At Equity Loans LLC, Jessica helps to streamline our growth as our ever-expanding branches bring on new team members.
